i can draw a little but for some reason comic art eludes me, i cant seem to figure out how to draw unrealistically but create something that looks like more than a bunch of scribbles!

If you want to draw that specific style then practice drawing the characters from that comic. First spend many hours tracing over the lines so your hand remembers the curve and angles of the strokes. Then draw side by side (without tracing) and just eyeball. When you can draw them consistently then create your own characters.

Even a bunch of scribbles can make a comic if you organize it a little. There is this comic strip that I’ve been reading and it uses stick figures (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots.html). Do your scribbles and the comic will eventually find its niche of readers
