I’m an art student and I need help?

Hi I’m an art student at a local community college trying to transfer ASAP to an art school…

few troubles I have here…

I’m not that bad at rendering photo-realistically but it’s still not easy for me.

Often I try to be way too perfect and end up not completing the works sometimes I feel really intense and anxious to see the final product(not trying to get over with things but wanting to be good and fast)

Do I lack of passion or am i just too hard on my self?

some of the works done by me in the past(like 2 years ago… havent had much time to draw since i have to work and goto school)

I know its not that good but I’m much better now :/

those are actually from like 2 years ago from high school… …

am i too old to get better? im 21… ALREADY! :(
uh… sorry I’m a guy :/

your works are awesome. i wasn’t able to see the 1st link but the second one has great graphite works.
anyways, i also do that (finish half-way) a lot because of the same reason too, you’re not alone! :D
I guess you just have to push yourself to have more patience and more focus when you draw/paint/etc. What i do is i listen to music whenever i draw, it helps cancel out anything around me, like I’m at my own place/zone at the moment.
you’re just to hard on yourself, really, you do great realism.
