From New York Metropolitan Museum of Art to the American Museum of Natural History?

Has anyone experienced foot Met Museum of Art that AMNH? How much will the trails? Is it possible to visit the two museums in half a day? I am planning my trip to New York and was wondering if you might be able to do this.

Both museums in half a day is long, each could easily fill an entire day. 2 to 3 hours each would be a minimum of one visit would guess that takes me 20 to 30 minutes of walking through the park between them. It's a nice walk, it's worth as a way to know the park, still worth it if you know the park.
