What is the name for an art project that uses various pieces of waste items…?

What is the name for an art project that uses various pieces of waste items, glued onto a background and spray painted one colour. Our school is making these projects and some people have referred to them by a certain name but I can’t remember what it is!
Thanks for the dada tip. It’s not dadaism but it is similar and led me to “readymade” or “found art”. It might fit into this category but I’m sure this isn’t the name that it was called. I’m open to other suggestions!
