What would be a simple way to photograph images which explore the relationship between photography and art?

That’s a very loaded question and I’m not sure I can be very helpful with it as it’s written. The simplest way I can think of, in terms of concept (rather than execution), is to reproduce as photographs famous paintings. The Mona Lisa, for example: photograph a woman who looks like the Mona Lisa against a green screen, then layer in a background where you have taken the right half and lowered it a little.

Or maybe take pictures of people taking pictures of artwork. Don’t know if any of this helps.
