are my animes bootlegs?
Hi. I bought the complete set of the japanese tv series ‘Space Battleship Yamato’ from sundevildvd. they took awhile to get here, but i finally got them. This site is known to sell bootlegs, but the copies i have look great. The box art looks good, discs look good. I popped one in, and it seemed fine; the video was fine, the audio was fine, ect. stuff i know about them:
1. they have english AND chinese subtitles
2. they are region free
3. they have two email addresses on the discs and boxes. they are dvdshop2001@yahoo.com and dvdshop2001@mail2000.com.tw
4. the entire set cost me around $70 with free shipping.
5. i bought all 3 seasons, and there is 3 discs to each box (1 box per season). the first two seasons have 26 episodes and the last one has only 25 episodes, but thats the way its supposed to be.
Thats all i really know right now. After what ive read online, im thinking that theyre bootlegs, but i wanted other people’s opinions. So, what do you guys think? Legit or not?

Sometimes a bootleg copy can be BETTER than a legit copy. I’m a cartoon collector and most of the cartoons I collect are from the 30s and 40s…a lot of politically incorrect stuff…a lot of the bootleg stuff is unedited, where a legit (usually American) copy will have the politically incorrect material edited out of fear of offending even one person.
If the picture and sound is good, all the episodes are there and unedited and you got a good deal…enjoy!
