Fellow Artists – Nude on Vehicle Illegal?

I’m planning to paint a surrealist mural on my car to include a tasteful and extremely stylized nude female. Since it’s mostly a black and white and she’s almost difficult to see in the over arcing design I would not consider it in any way pornographic. Does anyone know if this would be legal to paint on my car? This is is a surrealist mural including gears, vines, eyes, etc – the woman is very subtle – it is artwork, not a lascivious display. I doubt any reasonable person would be offended by it, I’m merely interested in its legality. I could paint a vine over her but it seems like a perversion to give in to dirty-minded people and compromise my art.

In the US, obscenity is defined by “local community standards” so what is ok in Las Vegas may be a big no-no in Vicksburg, Mississippi…you didn’t give your location so you may want to check with your local cop shop or city council.
