What changes did Leonardo da Vinci introduce in the Renaissance through is art work?

I’m doing a History prep task at the moment, and I was just wondering what new and/or improved changes did da Vinci bring out through his works during the Renaissance period?? (Eg: his Mona Lisa, the Last Supper etc..)

It was an investigator of new techniques of fresco, which proved disastrous, as in the “Last Supper” and “Battle of Anghiari”

His technique in the paintings, especially portraits and landscapes that are the background is unique and unsurpassed
as in “Monnalisa” and the “Virgin of the Rocks”
