why don’t people in the art world like art in color pencil?
Drawing in color pencil give you much more detial and brighter colors then what you could do with painting.
Painting is messy and look slopy + plus when you try to add complex detial to your art work it looks soo much better in color pencil.
You’ve been talking to the wrong people in the art world. Find your own medium and make it work for you. There’s a guy whose work I have seen on the internet who does amazing pictures with Crayola crayons. Heck I know somebody who makes fabulous pictures with clothes dryer fluff. Can you make a living from colored pencil art? I don’t know. But what percentage of people who paint can earn enough to support themselves? Just practice your art and make it really good and leave something behind that someone will treasure.
