Can i edit MP3 artist and album names within Windows Explorer?

Is there a way to edit the album, track number, artist,genre, etc.. for mp3′s within Windows Explorer or does this have to be done directly in ITunes? If so, is there a program that can be downloaded for this purpose, as i found itunes runs rather slowly and i am trying to update a LOT of songs.

You can do it within Windows Media Player. WMP will go fetch all the info for you automatically.

Open WMP, click Tools > Options,
on the Player tab put a check in the box by ‘Connect to the Internet’,
on the Library tab put a check in the box by ‘Retrieve Additional Information from the Internet’, select Overwrite all media information’,
on the Privacy tab put a check in the box by ‘Display media information from the Internet’ and ‘Update music files by retrieving media info from the Internet’, click Apply, click OK. Close WMP, then reopen it. The process should start. It could take awhile if you have a lot of tunes. iTunes may have the same process, I dunno because I don’t use it
