how do I get an appaisal license for fine art property in massachusetts or new york?

I have a masters in art history and want to get appaisal certification for fine art property – I can’t figure out how to find a class – because I do not want Real Estate certification.

This is a tough one.

I did some research and was absolutely unable to find an easy answer.

My suggestion, so I do not get bleary-eyed, is to go to the state websites for NY and MA. Search within those sites. If such a certification exists as a government-recognized license, it should be in the state’s own site.
