Well, it’s supposed to be YOUR view, but how about the growth of megachurches, which have created demand for churches that are 25,000 up to 50,000 for a service (Osteen’s in Houston is the old Astrodome). I go to a small church, and our group of churches believes in staying small-ish (our largest is about 6,000 but over five service times), and we operate IN the community–schools, performing arts theaters, etc. It’s our philosophy to connect with communities.

I don’t know if this counts (boy, hard question), but I was driving though Amish country a few years ago, and came on some Amish teenagers. The girls were dressed traditionally but get around using roller blades (fits in their religious requirements) — hysterical to see! Is there something like this in your area?
