how do veterinarians influence on the society?

Language Arts project. Need 2 know how vets influence society… like what do they do to help people? Thanks answers!

Not only do veterinarians take care of your sick pets, but they are also involved in public health.
They have to make sure that animals are free of diseases that may be transmitted to people. It’s their job to educate people on these issues as well as using vaccinations and preventative medicines to make sure that these disease don’t infect the pet and then the people.
They also make sure that our food supply is healthy. They make sure that the cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens are disease free when they are sent to slaughter.
They’re also involved in research that may have an impact on human health care as well as health care.
