Read Art Books Online
Reading people through art (Jodi Picoult book)?
I just read the book The Pact by Jodi Picoult and in the book it talks about how you can tell if someone has been sexually abused or if they’re depressed by looking at their art. Like, for example, the book said that people who have been sexually abused tend to emphasize on tongues and eyelashes in their art. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a place online where it can tell you more about this kinda stuff and tell you what charecteristics of art symbolize certain things. Thanks!
you must remember that Jodi Picoult writes fiction and that anything that helps make her story more colourful goes – if there was really any truth in what she wrote there would be many more cases of abuse identified at a much earlier stage
if you have seen any documentaries about police interviewing abuse victims you will have seen that the most telling thing they see in victims art is exaggerated genitalia nothing as “subtle” as tongues and eyelashes!
