How influenced are we by marketing catch words or phrases on products?

I was looking around out pantry this morning and noticed about every product on the shelves has one of these. From splash-less, ez-pour, and no-drip on liquids to ultra soft, the quicker picker-upper, and we cannot forget the mega-roll for paper towel products. I even noticed that the trash bags were now packaged in “new space-saver packs” that apparently is a smaller box (saves them shipping too) with the same number of bags.
I guess the question is do you feel that most of us are more influenced by brand names we are familiar with or the phrases or artwork that is included on the packaging for household products?
I avoid including food/drink products as most of us would probably be brand loyal there.

not at all, especially now since i am a business student, i knw they are all lies
