Where can I turn my photos into artwork?

For a Christmas gift, I wanted to turn my boyfriend’s favorite picture of us into some kind of art (sketching or painting or pop art or something). I know there are a lot of websites that offer these services, does anyone have experience with any one in particular, what did you get done and would you recommend it to others?

I have met with Kelly and seen her work in person. Yes, there are lots of places on the net that do “art” work on photos, but in the great majority of instances it is just digital manipulation of the file. The absolute worse is brushstrokes painted on a photograph. Looks totally stupid.

This lady is a TRUE artist. She sits down with a photo and PAINTS a reproduction onto canvas, and she also does beautiful drawings. She is NOT cheap, but true art never is. You can pay much less money for the phony stuff on the net, or invest in a true work of art. Look around Kelly’s site and decide for yourself.
